This edition is made precisely to Pickering’s original recipe, as it was written down in Mount Mary, Bombay, in 1947. Here the botanical mix includes cinnamon, which adds a decidedly warming and spicy kick to the spirit.
Tasting notes: Spicy, sweet and intense, it’s a decadent trip back to the last days of the Raj. Cardamom, coriander, clove and cinnamon spice lead to a crisp, refreshing and long finish.
Serving suggestions: with ice, quality tonic and a wedge of lime. For a more warming drink, substitute tonic water for ginger ale.

Believe it or not, this multi-award winning gin only came into being in 2013.
Pickering’s Gin is made in the distillery built by Matt & Marcus, from scratch, in the heart of Edinburgh. When it opened the Summerhall Distillery it was the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years. It is built in the derelict dog kennels next to the small animal hospital that once stood in the middle of the Old Royal (Dick) Veterinary School.
The gin is based on an original 1947 recipe. It features nine Bombay botanicals, engineered by us to create Pickering’s famous full-bodied flavour with perfect bitter-sweet balance.
